Voice Quality Testing (VQT) Solution

GL Communications' VQT Solution provides Voice Quality Testing between a variety of network end points, including those operating on WiFi, Cellular, LAN and PSTN networks.  Offering all of the three widely accepted algorithms, to allow comparisons between PESQ LQ/LQO, PAMS and PSQM (+), the GL VQT system can be used as either an automated or manual solution to help understand customer's perceptions of network quality.

Capabilities

    • Voice Quality Solution for VoIP, PSTN, Wireless, Cellular Networks and more.
    • Manual or Automated Operation.
    • Voice Quality Assessment using PESQ (LQ/LQO), PAMS, PSQM.
    • Detailed Audio Analysis of Jitter, Clipping, Noise, Latency
    • Manual/Automatic operation using VQuad

Tests Performed

The GL VQT solution provides the user with the capability to send a reference file across their network, whether that is cellular, WiFi, LAN or PSTN, and compare that reference file with the degraded file received.  As well as providing automatic or manual voice quality measurements to a variety of standards, including PESQ, PAMS and PSQM, GL's VQT analysis software allows detailed audio measurements to be taken.  Using the available audio analysis, such as Jitter, Clipping, Power, Noise and Latency measurements, the user can measure the effect of issues such as codec compression and packetisation on voice quality.

Summary

GL's Voice Quality testing solution (VQT) provides voice quality assessment, using industry standards including PESQ, PAMS and PSQM, as well as audio analysis, to perform detailed measurements such as jitter, clipping, noise and latency measurements.  Capable of testing on a variety of networks, including Wireless, Cellular, LAN and PSTN, the GL VQT solution provides the perfect tool for helping to understand end-to-end voice quality and the effect of issues such as codec compression and packetisation.
